Tampa’s Photo Booth without the Box and Curtains Enthralls Guests at Buckhorn’s Mayoral Inaugural Ball

SocialSnap Studios had the distinct honor of providing the entertainment and photographic fun for the Mayoral Inaugural Ball earlier this month. Recently re-elected mayor, Bob Buckhorn, was honored at this first-time event along with other former Tampa mayors at Straz Center for the Performing Arts. The event, sponsored by the Economic Club of Tampa, raised funds for the Hillsborough Education Foundation’s Take Stock in Children Scholarship Program.

Fun with the Un-“Selfies”

Photo Booth in Tampa

SocialSnap’s complete green screen studio produced the ultimate “selfies” while providing a center-stage for the guest “stars” to entertain and delight.

With little incitement from SocialSnap “phototainers” Jim and Kathy McManus, the affair quickly became rowdy.   The bright lights and studio pizzazz of SocialSnap’s photo shoot prompted the black-tie clad attendees to don boas, top hats, and canes to produce spectacular photo keepsakes of the evening and then post them to Facebook and other social media.

Guests selected from premium top hats and other enhancements prior to taking center-stage for their “close-up”.

One favorite green screen background was our “digital mayor” – our live green screen display allowed guests to position themselves either side of the mayor, in front of the seal of the city in his office. We were also very honored to photograph Mr. & Mrs. David Straz, benefactors and namesake of the Straz Center, in front of an image of the building that bears their name.

Photo Booth Tampa Bay – Event Venues

Tampa Bay – We at SocialSnap Studios have been very fortunate this fall to have had the opportunity to bring our open-air photo booth to many of the Bay Area’s most exciting venues, such as Tampa Theatre, The Straz Center, T. Pepin Event Center, Ala Carte Pavilion, The Coliseum, and more.  Our community (both sides of the “ocean” called Tampa Bay) is truly blessed by the range of extraordinary event venues.

Last week we were inspired to see the birth of a new event venue in Tampa – The Vault, located in the historic Exchange Bank building, located on Franklin Street in the heart of the city’s Arts District. The restored 1923 era bank features a main gallery with 35-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, making the bustling Tampa city-scape part of the space.  Dramatic uplighting accentuated the room’s spaciousness during the November 6 Open House.  Drape-adorned alcoves overlook the main gallery from the second floor.

The icon of the venue was the smallest room of all – the actual Exchange Bank’s vault, complete with impressive and massive doors, 2′ walls and interior wall safes.  Within the Vault’s vault, guests were treated to a hidden bar of refreshments.

During the evening of the Vault open house the room’s acoustics seemed “bright” to my ears, making conversations strained.  The site has great potential, however, for a wide variety of decorating and guest accommodation options.  The design masterfully incorporates the urban landscape into the setting resulting in a unique sophisticated standout among the Bay Area’s leading event venues.  SocialSnap Studios is looking forward to bringing their open-design photo booth to the Vault in December for Yara North America’s private holiday party.
